Dear Fellow NC Craft Beer Supporters,
May 30th was a big day for the industry. On this day, Governor Cooper signed the Craft Beer Distribution Modernization Act into law. This law came about through long discussions between members of the three-tier system (distributors and brewers). The new law essentially raises the amount of beer a brewer can self-distribute from 25,000 BBL to 50,000 BBL, and expands the reach of franchise law.
Overall this was a positive step for the industry, but we still have work to do in order to create and maintain an open market that benefits our communities. We appreciate your support of the North Carolina Craft Beer Industry and we will keep you posted as the ABC Omnibus Bill works it way through the legislature.
